District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Jason Tyler Fernandes (DOB 02/11/99), of Ventura, was charged with the murder of his father, Michael Fernandes. The complaint alleges one count of murder with the special allegation of personal use of a deadly or dangerous weapon.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that Areonah Walker
(DOB 07/29/03), of Riverside, and Terrion Phillips (DOB 10/13/03), of Los Angeles, were sentenced for their roles in a string of retail thefts. Walker was sentenced to 180 days county jail and 24 months formal felony probation. Phillips was sentenced to 270 days county jail and 24 months formal felony probation. Deputy District Attorney Gerard Eugenio had urged the court to impose 2 years 8 months incarceration for each Phillips and Walker.
