Maribel Rodarte is scheduled to be sentenced on March 22, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Automobile insurance fraud is punishable by up to five years in county jail and a fine up to $50,000, or double the amount of fraud, whichever is greater.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that charges were filed today, February 24, 2023, against Jose Emanuel Posadas (DOB 10/30/01), of Santa Paula, for the death of Joe Ramirez in Ventura.
Posadas, a known gang member, is charged with one count of murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The special allegation of having strike priors was also applied to both counts.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Lindsey Shaver (DOB 02/21/02), of Camarillo, was sentenced to probation and 90 days jail after pleading guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that charges were filed against Brennan Paul Post (DOB 06/11/89), of Newbury Park, for the shooting death of a family member.
Post is facing one count of murder with the special allegation that he personally discharged a firearm for the shooting death of his sister, Cassidy Snow (DOB 10/22/97).

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that two counts of first-degree murder have been filed against Tony Garcia (DOB 05/07/54), of Oxnard, for the 1981 cold case murders of Rachel Zendejas and Lisa Gondek.
Garcia made his first court appearance today, Thursday, February 9, 2023. His arraignment was continued to February 23, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura County Superior Court. He is currently being held in custody in the Ventura County Jail without bail.
