VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today the filing of a criminal complaint against Megan Elizabeth Zucaro (DOB 7/11/70), of Thousand Oaks, charging one felony count of grand theft, one felony count of diversion of construction funds, and one felony count of money laundering.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that James Anthony Rojas (DOB 1/11/57), of Murrieta, was sentenced to 13 years 8 months in state prison by Judge David Worley.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Santa Paula Police Officer Matthew Arthur Alonzo (DOB 09/28/79), of Ventura, pled no contest today to felony auto insurance fraud in violation of Penal Code section 550(b)(1).

District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Sasha Carrillo (DOB 11/11/85), of Los Angeles County, has been charged with one felony count of recording a false instrument. The charge is the result of an investigation conducted by the District Attorney’s Real Estate Fraud Unit acting on a report from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that the Ventura County District Attorney’s Environmental Protection Unit, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, has obtained a $143,000 stipulated final judgment against The Termo Company (“TERMO”). TERMO, based in Long Beach, California, owns and operates oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) facilities in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties (“TERMO’s California E&P Operations”).

VENTURA, California –District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Retha Mae Drummond (DOB 3/1/56), of Moorpark, pled guilty to five felony counts of misappropriation of public funds. At the hearing, Drummond paid partial restitution in the amount of $155,810.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Colin Meyer (DOB 10/01/80), of Ventura, pled guilty to attempted murder and admitted to personally inflicting great bodily injury on his ex-girlfriend and using a deadly weapon during the commission of the crime.

District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Christopher Schneider (DOB 11/22/88), of Thousand Oaks, was charged with the murder of Nancy Standish-Schneider, of Thousand Oaks. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Schneider personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.

District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Librado Ruiz Rojo (DOB 1/23/01), of Oxnard, was charged with the murder of Carlos Alberto Murillo, of Port Hueneme, which occurred on January 26, 2020. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Rojo personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.
